Dee was casting great, wasn't she? I don't think that's a new record as it did not beat her own PB. I could be wrong though....

Hello to all. I would like to thank Carolina Surf Casters and SFCCI for the invite and to a well put together tournament. Everyone I met and already knew made me feel as if I had been a member since day 1. It was so nice casting with the guys from my home state (TEXAS). Everything went smoothly which enabled everyone to get in many casts. I was dreading the long drive but it was worth it. Tomorrow isn't promised and I was not passing up the opportunity to cast with some of the best this sport has to offer. Lou, Jerry and Tommy managed to correct several of the bad habits I developed practicing on my own. It's is left to me to continue to work on these old habits including the many feet I am losing by not letting go at the right angle. If we were measuring in the sky, I would give some of you a run for your money. LOLOL..I owe Jerry Valentine a whipping the next time I see him. He left without giving me a hug. Wayne, what a beautiful field. This is a crappy ground casters dream. Tony and Jerry, thanx for the reel. Bruce, be glad Jerry needed his reel for day 2. You would have been toast. LOLOLOL. Brittany, it was a pleasure meeting you and hope to one day cast with you (Team Ladies). No Will, I did not break my record. To be honest I barely practiced this yr because I was unsure about returning. So much happened including losing my best friend of over 20 yrs to cancer in Dec and 5 months later I lost my elderly fishing buddy who gave me so much support during last yrs season. I wanted to do it for the both of them but circumstances and bad habits did not allow me. I gave it my best with a 530 ft cast. 27 ft less than my last yrs record isn't bad. Brittany, that was alright casting for me. :-( I need to do better. I will see what next yr will bring. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many top notch casters willing to pass along their knowledge to a newbie like me. Without those who love this sport, there would not be a sport without us. Let's be a part of making this sport grow. Hey Troy and Steve. TAXIIIIIIII!

BTW, Dee. You own me four dollars, the going rate for everything from a stick of gum to the loan of a reel!  LOL
