What a wild weekend!!
I want to thank those that came out to cast with us. It started out with a good turnout for the seminar on Friday afternoon. I hope all that came out both enjoyed themselves and learned how to gain some distance.
Saturday was a crazy day. The wind was up, we had brief rain squalls and even a short dropping of sideways snow…
Usually big winds equal big distances but it was HARD casting. The wind was swirling and pushing down and just didn’t really help much for big numbers. The story of the day was Ryan Lambert’s huge 8oz cast in the last round Saturday. He’d been flirting with 700 feet all day with at least 4-5 casts in the 690’s. On his last cast Ryan unleashed a BOMB Hatteras style cast that flew out to 710 feet. I’m not easily impressed on the casting court these days but that cast impressed me. Just a few months ago I would have bet against it, but I watched it happened then measured the cast…. Well done Ryan!!!
Also a great cast was made by our resident SUPER SENIOR Bob Sales. He bombed a 680’ cast on Saturday. One heck of a cast Bob, well done.
Sunday was cold in the morning but turned into a nice day by midmorning. It was a fun day. I’d say the cast of the day on Sunday would go out to 13 yr old Ethan Hennet, who crushed a 125 gram out to 485’5”. Great casting Ethan!!
A special thanks to my brother, Charlie Farmer, again ran a GREAT tournament. Charlie runs a tight ship and keeps everyone on deck and ready.
The CSCA is growing and we hope to continue that trend.
Please come back and cast with us again!!

CSCA Announcement
April 2016 Tournament date and field change.
All,
I have been working hard to secure a field for the April 16th and 17th CSCA Tournament. I have been unsuccessful in finding a suitable field that is available that weekend.
New date and location;
Dates - April 9th and 10th
Location - Morgan’s Corner Truck and Tractor Pull
970 US HWY 158, Elizabeth City NC
I plan to put on a FREE CASTING SEMINAR at the same location on Friday afternoon (8th) from 2-4. Seminar is open to ALL who want to improve their cast.
My apologies for the late change of venue and date,
Tommy Farmer

CSCA March 2016 Casting tournament
What a great tournament. We had a record turnout for the CSCA of 43 casters. We put in a full day on saturday but got rained out today (sunday). It was almost like a trip back in time. Mr. Joe Moore was there, how GREAT it was to see him back on the casting field. Bill Kennedy, Big Dan Reel, Angel, Rolland Johnson, Mike Langston and myself made it almost seem like 2002 all over again (except my body hurts much more now...lol).
We had a very special guest. Mr. Harry Aiken. Harry was the top USA caster back in the 60's and 70's. Before Will Nash, before Tommy Farmer, before Big Lou and before Ron Arra Harry Aiken was THE MAN in USA casting. it was great to chat with him about the history of the sport.
I want to thank all that helped with field setup and registration. Jeff and Sandy Madre, Steve Diener, Ginger and Angie. Bob sales helped us keep things running. A special thanks to my brother Charlie Farmer who is the field General and runs a tight ship. Also a thanks to Chris Carver and his crew for helping us out on friday and for helping to provide such a GREAT field.
Last, a congrats to all the winners. Angel kicked my butt (again) to win the overall championship. Bill Kennedy (senior), Bob Sales (super senior) , Ryan Labert (8oz WOW what a cast), Angie Gaskins and Junior champion Jon Baronowski. WELL DONE ALL.
Best CSCA tournament so far!!
